Have a look as I found it from craigslist.
From my understanding, BPA is only harm when it faces high temperature, so it should have no problem if you just use it for storage.

Something to remember, is BPA is in the hardening agent used in CLEARhard plastic bottles. Drop in liners, breastmilk storage bags, TEMPOliners from Avent, these are all safe (I actually emailed Avent myselfand they said they are BPA free).
If you are using Avent and dont want to have to change all yournipples or your baby only takes Avent nipples, you can put theirnipples on their Magic Cups (sippy cups) as they are BPA free as well.So there is an alternative if using Avent.
Somthing I want to point out, is as much as I know its a scarythought, and all this info is really confusing and shocking all at thesame time, BPA is found in soooooooo many things that we use on a dailybasis. If you are formula feeding your child, the can the formula is inis lined with plastic which contains BPA. The cans of tomatos you useto make sauces, your cans of tuna, any can with food, is lined withplastic containing BPA.
BPA is or shall I say CAN be leached (it does not ALWAYS leach) whenbrought to high temps. This is one reason why they have beenreccomending for several years that you do not boil your bottles andtheyve always reccomended you dont microwave your bottles(especiallybreastmilk...never micro that!). While high temps can cause BPA toleach, not all bottles will leach all of the time. Avoid leaching byscratching the insides of the bottles, bringing to high heat and usingbottles over years and year time (like bottles from previous kids).
All that being said, one should do what they feel they need todo... I personally think its gone way overboard. I have had people usethe argument with me "Well, we gotta start somewhere" But weve knownfor years that hormones and steroids are put into animals and yet weconsume them everyday (beef, chicken, pork)...we eat veggies and fruitswith pesticides on them everyday (and washing them doesnt not rid ofpesticides...especially on waxy items...not to mention it seeps intothe fruit so your still consuming it)...we drink milk from the cowswhich are fed hormones, everything grown uses rain water, which hasbeen effected by the environment....I could go on and on about all thethings we are exposed to but Im afraid it will fall on deaf earsreally. My point is is that everyday we consume things or do thingsthat are "harmfull" to us and our children and think nothing of it andnow this comes out and suddenly everyone is freaking out. You canreduce the risk of BPA leaching into your babys milk by not bringing tohigh heats, washing in luke warm soapy water, heating in glass andpouring into the bottle (your not going to heat to such a high heatthat would cause leaching cause then you would be burning your baby)and avoid scratching the insides of the bottles.
If you are going to use glass bottles, remember that the nutrients, andenzymes from breastmilk stick to the glass so you do need to give yourbottle a little swish every few min to avoid this so these goodies getINTO your baby and not remain on the glass on the inside....somthingmost people dont know because they are not told.
Anyway...thats my two cents. Whether you agree with me or take myadvice is up to you. But I thought it was important to give anotherpoint of view on the subject...I hope that Ive opened up some peopleseyes. Ultimatly you do what you feel is best, but me personally, I willcontinue to use the bottles my baby takes, continue to not heat inthem, continue to not sterilize in a sterilizer or boiling water, notmicrowave and not scratch and continue to feel Ive done the best jobthat I can do to minimize these risks.
there is lots of BRA-free product available and personally I usually heat up the milk with a glass in microwave first then pour it in the bottle in order to minimize the risk.
If you read more related information, there is lot of product has BPA and we dont even know at all. eg, formular milk which store in a can.
