唔知富亨浸信會呂郭碧鳳幼稚園好不好 ? 有冇08年入讀K1 或現在 & 以前的家長之家長俾D意見 ?

有甚麼優點及缺點呀 ? 學習能力掂麼 ? 小一派位如何 ? 上了band 1小學 (如田家炳等) 又是否跟得上 ?

Hello,
My son will take full day lesson. Is you child going to be a K1 student this year? If so, my son and your child will be classmates.
The reasons that I choose this school are:
1) The religion is christianity. It teaches students about God's love. Children can learn how to pray and tell what they feel and what they need to God.
2) Classroom is big and clean. It has an infra-red temperature detector at the door of school. Child who has fever can be detected and their parents will be informed to take back the children to home. In Tai Po, only a few schools have this detector.
3) Teachers and supervisor are nice.
4) It adopts an active method to teach students who can be trained to think more in a wide way, not just informed them knowledge. I remembered that the teacher told me how she taught children about mid-autumn festival: bake the moon cake with children together to arouse their interest.....I am quite impressed....

My daughter also take full-day K1 class in year 08 entry. If I finally choose Baptist LKBF, they will be classmates. Your information is helpful & positive commentary. I also want my kid to get some religious concept (Christaianity).

However, I also want her to be well equipped for the primary school adaption, since she need to compete during the primary education.

Anyway, have you make research into Methodist (循道) & Bowie (寶兒) kindergarten during your selection process ? If you have, any comment ?

Hello Ying,

It's my pleasure to share my comments with you because I understand that it is a difficult job to choose school for our kids.

I visited the school of Methodist and Bowie too. Methodist school is quite big and have many classrooms. I know one girl studying there. She is very polite that gives me a good impression.

You can go to the website of 教育局 then kindergarten then Tai Po to search more detailed information about each school. It contains many precious info. like how many classes of K1, K2, K3, no. of years of experience of teachers, qualification of teachers etc....You can also read 視學報告which is written by education dept. after sending people to school for observation of lessons. In Tai Po, only a few kindergarten have got this report, including 禮賢會, 浸信會(正校), 浸信會(呂郭碧鳳) and 英藝. Some reports have many positive comments but some reports show very poor performance.....

Bowie is a private school with tests and exams. It is not the kind I like. I want my kid studying in a more relaxed environment so I did not choose it.

Thanks for your objective & constructive comment. Your experience is quite similar to mine. I also want my kid to study happily but fear she is not academic strong enough after promoting to P1.

Besides, I have gone to the "親子運動會" organised by Methodist last weekend. It seems the headmaster is quite aggressive to polish up the school (I means the public image), so is attractive to the parents.

On the other hand, the dual linguistic environment provided by Fu Heng Baptist (full-day class) also attracts me. So it is hard to choose even between these 2. (as neglecting Bowie).

我個囡唔係讀這間幼稚園,但小朋友成日病,係睇佢本身底子係唔係比較差啦,仲有就係d家長小朋友有病要留家中休息或戴口罩,應該唔係學校配套問題,而且小朋友開始返學就會好病好普遍.

Dear PakYin MaMa,

I have finally made up my mind to take 富亨呂郭碧鳳幼稚園 K1 for my daughter. So I have bought the school uniform last week.

Anyway, I have comment on the duty staff in the counter (maybe somewhat clerk), her manner is not nice & seems to be impatient as I check the uniform for my kid. She always ask me just to buy without check the size in detail.

I hope the teachers not like this. By the way, my kid will be classmate to your son soon !!
