The monthly salary should pay on 19th (within 7 days). Today is her holiday but this morning she didn't go out & wait for me to wake up. Then ask me to pay her the salary right now. I told her I didn't take the money from bank, I'll give her tonight. Then she cried & said it's emgerency that she need the money today. I told her the same words, maybe tonight or latest tomorrow. Then she shouted to me & said 'I didn't ask u to borrow money ! I only want to receive my salary today !!' Now, I promised her to give money tonight & she can go out tomorrow again (but will deduct 1 day salary or 1 day holiday).
Do u think I can do it this way, did I do something wrong ?

係佢地心目中僱主係一定要準時支$否則佢地一定嘈,話之妳有權7日內支付.我地有時都會遲幾日,工人就算放假都会即刻call黎叫快啲做,叫佢地做野又唔會咁efficient:;pppp: 叫佢朝早準時起身又側側膊:;pppp: 無法啦

不過記住千祈唔好用cash出salary!

I really can't accept her attitude to talk with me in this way, actually I think she wanted me to fire her immediately then she can get one month salary more.
Why can't pay the salary by cash ?? I asked her to sign every month when I passed the cash to her.

we always discuss here paying cash is not an ideal n safe way, there is no proof that u give her the money, she can say u force her to sign, deny that's her signature.....better
to use cheque or bank/internet transfer to keep a
record.

She is Bun & I already gave her 1 month notice tonight after discussed w/my husband. But now, I'm quite scared what will she do in our house for this month. e.g. cooking....etc.

Ask her to leave immediately lah!

All maids expect to receive their income on time, cannot be late ga. If your boss gives your salary 3 days late, you may not like it lah.

if your helper works OK, then it is better to pay her on time.

In your case, maybe the helper really needs the salary and send some back to home. Did you ask her the reason?
