Used sonicare for more than 10 years. I have tried 3 of their toothbrush models. Last few generations were very durable. My first sonicare I've used for over 6 years and battery is still in very good condition. I was hoping it would break down so I could buy a new one, but it never did. I got tired of waiting eventually, so I bought my second sonicare, it was the flexcare version, not nearly as durable as it's predecessors but it did last for 2 years. So I bought a new one earlier this year(older generation of flexcare but newer than my first sonicare), and it should last me sometime.
My dentist recommend this toothbrush more than oral b.
