Hi Dear moms,

I was late for the big group birthday party in 2010 Jan and I saw quite many moms are the same. So I want to see if any of you are interested to organize a mini birthday party for our babies together. I think to have a birthday party for the 2009 Jan babies together will be quite fun as they are more or less the same age.

If we have a sizable group I can book my clubhouse so we can celebrate our babies' birthday together!! Though we missed the big group party but guess we can have a mini party and I am sure it will be fun too.

Sorry I don't know chinese typing but I will learn.

So please indicate if you want to join. I think if we have 10 babies we can do one by ourselves lahh.

By the way, I am Coen's mom ahh. I joined the Nov playtogether event ahh.

Hi Toby,

I live in Kowloon. Tiu King Leng MTR station. Besides the function room I can book for holding the birthday party, there are Toddlers Play Rooms in my clubhouse. And the outside playground is good too.

Hi Kewpiebaies,

I think your suggestion is good too. JWT Kids Gym can be an option as well. What else will they offer for a party and what is the cost? But the point is now we have 12 babies (if I counted correctly), not 19 yet. So it is for cost sharing matter or they really need 19 babies in order for them to host the party? Pls ask and share more info. Thank you.

I think now let's decide the date. How about Jan 16 or Jan 17? Middle of the month seems good. Let's quickly decide the date and I think then more babies may join.

oo, then let's go back to my original proposal of holding it in my clubhouse.

Prelim Details:
Venue: XX Clubhouse at Tiu King Leng MTR station
Date: TBC
Time: 2pm-4pm or 5pm
Activities: Let's design together! I think Cake Cutting lah of course, photo shooting, games, birthday present exchange etc etc

As said let's decided the date and see how many babies can join. I think let's do it this way. Interested mamas please indicate the dates that you are ok. Then I think let's pick a date that majority can do. Point is we are hoping we can have more 2009 Jan babies to celebrate their birthday together! So pls indicate the dates you can do, but not just the dates you prefer. And hopefully we can nail down a date that many of us can do. Pls fill in below. Pls add your name if I missed. Let's confirm it quickly as I need to book clubhouse mah.

Hi mamas,

New info! littlegym at TST still have a birthday party timeslot on Jan 10, 3:30-5:00pm. Will you be available that date and time and want to go there? Basically for 15 babies the package is $2600 (non-member price). Not yet include cake and food. But they do provide drinks. And they will have 2-4 instructors to host games play with our babies in the gym for 1 hour. A bk mama replied my pm said littlegym teachers are nice. I am not sure whether there are big enough but I GUESS should be spacious enough as they have baby gym class...Good thing if having our party there as tszkiumama said there have things for our babies to play and instructor to host games for babies playing together.

Hi bwm, as far as I understand little gym has facilities for babies below 1 year old and actually their classes start from 4 months old. So I think to hold our 1 yr old birthday party at little gym should be better than in cludbouse coz they have things for our babies to play. And I have received a pm from another mother her baby did join little gym when 10 months old and she said the teacher are good wor...

Hi BKVIP, I called the First Little Step lah, they are not a baby gym but a learning center. I think their birthday party is more for older children...

I suggested let's see if we can have enough babies to join Jan 10 3:30-5:00 pm birthday party at the little gym. Below is the ok mamas so far:

Good news! We have a mama who is a member of the little gym! So we will have a discounted price $2200 for the birthday party at the little gym! See the updated list:

3:30-4:30 Lead by 2-4 instructors to play babies games. We will have the whole area for the birthday party so babies can play whatever available facilities in the gym
4:30-5:00 Cake cutting and photo taking in party room. We can further discuss if we want to extend this or not.

Hey mamas, the birthday party will be:
3:30-4:30 Babies play in gym lead by the little gym instructors
4:30-5:00 Cake cutting in party room and photo taking

I suggest we don't order catering, but buy some snacks instead. For the birthday cake, I suggest let's do a name plate for every individual baby. For example when Coen takes photo with the cake we put the "Happy Birthday to Coen" name plate on the cake. Then when Howard does we put the name plate "Happy Birthday to Howard" on the cake. What do you think?

One of the mama already got some nice birthday cake information. Let's decide where to order this 1st year old birthday cake for our babies!!!

I found some info of birthday cake at Maxim's. I think this one is quite good. Can change the "3" to "1". Pls see this link:

4 pounds should be enough. Stand Chart card got 20% off. That will be $506.

So initial budget breakdowns as below:
the little gym rental: $2200 (if we extend the party time for 30 mins it will be $750 in addition)
birthday cake: $600 (not more than $600 I guess depends on your suggestion of other choices)
snack & drink: $300

If we have 15 families that will be around $206-$256 per family (depending on whether we extend party time). Is that ok?

Besides, as it is our babies' birthday I would suggest we exchange birthday presents so each baby will receive a birthday gift! Budget around $100, is that ok?
