You will again meet the piglet in person cos he has to follow me, home = building under renovation, as noisy as an alien attack !

There'er 2 major types of gel in market - Bonjela or Orased. Neither should be prescribed to kids.

We will be using saline solution / salt water instead.

1 of his classmates told me that it was becos of his name (which sounds like stupid egg) woh.
And the bully likes to bully piglet becos piglet reacts gwa. That kid always tells some other kids (in same class) that piglet is clumsy, stupid, ... and if his "gang" doesn't help him to bully piglet then he bullies them !
Piglet's tactics is now sort of bribery - he takes misc yummy snacks back to school, eg Jagabee fries, M&M, and distribute it to members of the "gang". That bully never bring snacks to school so never treats his "gang" to food. Kids are vvv practical ppl when it comes to food.
And in pigle's class the system is, if the kids are good (did not talk in class etc) they get marks added, if that chat in class marks are deducted. The bully and piglet is in the same group, so is one of his good friends (also a key member of his gang). Bully + 3 others in the group often chats ==> they whole group gets -ve marks so is punished (no recess, stand in front of staff room), and his good friend + piglet tries to behave well in class not chat ==> but is still punished cos the bully and the others chat ==> + the snack factor, the bully's good friend has gradually become neutral !

Big pig said, kids' fight ==> leave it to the kids to settle woh.
And I don't want to talk to the kid directly ==> his teaching mum may complain to school that I bully her kid.
This Fri I left a message for class teacher to call me back on my mobile, but she hasn't done so yet !

Tks for your concern.

Asked piglet today why he thinks the bully picks on him. He says, the other kids are scared of him (?) and doesn't fight back, whereas piglet is the only one around who has the guts to fight back a little bit.

I've presented it to piglet that the bully sees him as a threat. He ranks 4th in class, but piglet's marks is better than his in 3 / 6 papers. (but for those papers in which bully does better, he leads by 1x - 2x marks !)
So I told piglet, treat that as your goal, to do better academically, then he will really lose. (am I being too Ah Q about it ?) And that is what he's afraid of - losing to piglet.

In TKD, the Sifu says not to fight, and if piglet fights then his belt gets downgraded. Once piglet demo his kick to scare off another kid who tried to attack him (words, gestures, not really fight at first cos that kid was half the size of piglet), and Sifu downgraded his belt by 1 grade.

Let's see what the class teacher who saw the fight from cause to end (and punished both kids) say first.

Re our twin spec frame

One arm of the frame came off this morning, took it to the shop to try and see if it can be repaird otherwise need a new pair. In the end I bought the same frame, $12xx, reuse the glasses.
Heavily injured (my pocket) !

Prefer to spend it on Lego or books !

re: bullying
Ours is headmaster, not Ms. Lo. Ms Lo and her immediate 2 successors would have handled things better I'm sure.

Trying to contact the co-ct who saw last Thurs's "fight".
That kid tripped piglet and piglet nearly splat on the floor and was tripped by his own trobone case, then piglet gave him a push to the wall. Piglet still got a bruise on his shoulder, I think he must have banged against something.

Don't know why kids can be so yum sup when they are so young. What will they grow up to be ? Successful executives ?

Piglet's co-teacher called back this morning, said the kids have been pushing around and playing during lunch time, in classroom. She's told them tio stop before. Last Thurs after lunch the kids "played" again, ==> kid pushed, piglet fell, piglet got ignited, and pushed back.
So con't to watch and see.......

The kid was made "class monitor" since last Fri, if he does anything wrong then 罪加一等. So nothing yet. I think piglet's school uses this method to control the naughty kids.

I think I've "heard of " these 2 books somewhere, but forgot where (dementia). Anyhow, too literary for piglet.

Re : Warriors (cats)

Is it co-incidence or becos the books are a hit now - the book is intro in One Mag, this week's issue.

His priority is still star wars. He got a big book from DK : Star Wars xxxxx from school lib yesterday. Started holding on to this one, apart from kneading his Lego. And he found a small chunk of clay from school yesterday, started to knead this into a clone helmut woh. And asked me to find somebody to teach him : 1. to "sand" the surface of plastic (so that he can change the shape of Lego minifig accessories like helmuts) and 2. to do injection moulding (to make metal toy Lego guns) like those available in BrickArms. All very fine tedious pro work, not for kids.

Do take a look at Artemis Fowl books, kid genius, fairies and goblins + time warp, fairy + Sci Fi. May be appealing to kids, but quite diff to understand the time warp part.

RMM,

I think I need to make an appt with Dr. Hui Yau for piglet, during summer hols.
Nose bleed for ~4 times in 2 days. Every time he runs a fever, will have nose bleed a few days later. He had fever on 23 and 24 Apr, then had to stand in school playground under full daylight and sunlight for some prize giving ceremoney in school on maybe Tues or Wed, and after he tried to clear his nose by blowing his nose on Thurs ==> nose bleed in school yesterday, blood on his uniform as if murder case, this morning ~7am again nose bleed on bed.

Concl. Nose bleeding after heating up his head. But need to blow his nose now he dares not, always try to suck in instead. So maybe need scanning. Will go during summer hols when his time is more flexi, otherwise cannot get an appt with Dr. H. We let him eat cold food now, cold milk, cold fruit, cold orange juice, and ban fries and chips.

But he's OK with going to the dentist for pulling his teeth ga woh.
Yesterday and today, we gave him lots of cold water, water melon, and sugar cane water. Trying to cool down his head. Told him he has to keep off McD for 3 months.

A little blood yesterday, but 100 times better than in past few days already. School uniform was clean (from blood) yesterday.

Do you think there will be Hei Yeung Yeung (sheep sheep) books ? I haven't bought Nos. 11 and 12.

There is a comic book on Hei Yeung Yeung sold in 7-11, a new one every fortnight, $15@. Piglet told me tonight, I found a copy which was issue #3. Will check with publisher where I can get #1 and 2.

Take a look, but not all 7-11 sells it.
