Ms M, thx for your time and ‘energy’ for organizing yesterday’s gathering. Everything was ‘super’--- great!

Sheeta, did your daughter getting better? You MUST join us in our next party!

Thx to Alanma and Nancy for your lovely gift to Heidi – she likes Winnie the Pooh very much! And Ball for the ‘artistic’ picture (actually can I ask for a 8R or 10R blowup so that I can use it as a decoration for Heidi’s room?)

Heidi got so excited and ‘hyper’ after the party yesterday and cannot sleep till 1am. Poor me, I need to carry her/struggle with her to make her sleep. Anyway, it’s a very memorable day and my husband is working on the photos. Will give you the link once he’d finished uploaded all the pics.

Pls tell us how’s the cookery class (in Mongkok) after you’d tried. I’m taking Towngas cookery class nearly once every month (just for interest). The practical classes are good, since they provide everything you need and no need to do clean-ups. But I just tried their western cooking classes (including cake/bread making, salads, turkey/beef/chicken/ham roast, soups and dessert - I cannot recall all the names coz I’d been joining the classes for 2 years already). It’s good if we can group together to make a class ourselves, it’s more fun!!

Let me know when we can party again at your restaurant (of course, I’m thinking of the delicious tom yum soup).

My husband had been very busy this week and had not been doing much on uploading the photos, I’ll urge him to try to finish it this weekend and will post it here soon.

hope ur father can go home very soon. my mother-in-law was also in hospital last week (for a surgery) and stayed for 4 nights. I went to the hospital and it's quite 'tight' for visitors. And I'm also afraid of the 'SARS', so me and my family need to take temperature every morning to make sure my little one not get infected :-( You also need to take care

Seems that everyone is busy preparing for the Chinese New Year, coz it's a bit 'quiet' in our forum these few days.

As for the gathering in Ball's restaurant, I'm only available on Sundays or Saturday evenings (after 5pm) since Heidi needs to attend a playgroup every Saturday morning (till 1pm). :-(

Wah your 生仔 stories 好精彩 (esp. Tess's '103'). For me, I was very好彩, from register in the hospital (8:30pm) to Heidi 'coming out' (11:30pm), it's only 3 hours and I only have the pain for ~2 hours (coz吹生). And the doctor was surprised to see me laugh with my husband just have hour before giving birth. Anyway every生仔 story is so memorable. As for the production line, I'm 15/16, coz the physical pain is bearable for me, but the psychological pressure of raising a good child is enormous.

I also noticed that Heidi is growing a lot these few months and just few weeks ago, she start saying sentences like “lee di係 mud” or “xx did o左” . It's so funny!

學校波波池: I also scared of letting Heidi playing 波波池 at school, but it looks so weird if you are the only one who stand at the side and watch others play. So everytime I just let her play a little while and then go to play other toys. Each time I bring a lot of ‘alcohol’ wipes to clean her hands. I use them after playing, before eating, after drawing/making craft,…. I use almost 3-4 times these alcohol wipes in 2 hours’ school time + washing hands with soap. I need to use lot of lotion for Heidi’s hands and it’s luckily, her skin seems OK and (‘touch wood’) had not contacted any diseases from school up to now.

I’ll be taking Heidi to see “Beauty & the Beast” the coming Sun (22/2). Knowing that 可頤 behave so well, I’m not as worried (coz I hope Heidi and 可頤 will behave similar). I bought the tickets 2 months ago and I heard the mom lining in front of me said she took her kids to this show every year and they like it very much! I also hope Heidi likes it and will not give too much trouble to me in the show.

Ms M, if I go ‘big big’, I’ll put her in high chair and turn on the TV with her favorite VCD. I’ll sing along the songs with Heidi, so that she can hear my voice (even cannot see me). If just for ‘pi’, I’ll half close the washroom door, and my head will lean near the sink and talk to her or make some funny faces so she cannot see my whole body or does not know what exactly I’m doing (I hope). Usually, she just stand there and watch me (with a puzzled face)

Ball, did you try the baking/cooking class in Friandise (TST)? How’s it? I’m planning to try one of their course in March, seems very attractive!

Heidi is so funny last week, I asked her to go to sleep, she lightly pat herself on the stomach and then makes 2-3 snores, pretending to go to sleep. Maybe she heard my husband snoring sound at night

You and your family are not well? Take care and rest more la, it’s easy to fall sick these days.

there’s no particular brand of alcohol wipes I choose, I just bought from Mannings/Watsons (usu. I’ll choose those that are not made from China – since I have doubt in the materials they use for production). After using these alcohol wipes, I suggest you use Johnson’s baby wipes (with lotion) to wipe his/her hand again, so the alcohol will not be too damaging to the skin or any residue alcohol will not be ingested if he/she sucks the finger.

Me too, Heidi will not be attending school in April, since I’m also scared of any flu ‘outbreak’ that might happen (and you’re right, germs are most active in Spring). Besides, I’ll be taking Heidi for the 1.5 yr-old vaccination (which my friends told me that it may have some side-effects on the child), so just take a break and maybe will start school again in May/June (I want to try another one – Aunt Lily maybe).

I was just going to register in the 3/26 (Raspberry Cheese cake), I saw they still have space yesterday, but it was full now, I think I’ll need to wait till April.

Jennifer, Heidi also do this sometimes, and as Ball says, everytime she do this you must tell her not to ‘smack’ her head and said it’s painful (ton,ton). You must keep on telling her consistently when she acts like that and if you persist, she’ll quit one day. It will take some time.

I’ll give ½ piece of bread (sometimes white bread, sometimes raisin bread) to Heidi, 1 hr after she’d her milk (not immediately, coz I don't think she wants). That means she’d ~2 pieces of bread each day. For lunch and dinner, I’ll give ½ a pear or apple after the meal.

策略.... as usual, I'll give her to take more rest (i.e. sleep more) at home and less go to crowded areas. That's why I plan to quit school/playgroup for a month. Any recommendations

我都戒蛋,雞,duck (just to play safe during this period). But I usually put 1 teaspoon of bird nest to her dinner (since 1 yr-old), I guess she can get some more protein from there. Now she only eats pork and beef and veggies, yes, it's really a bit boring. I give beef to her every other day, ~3x a week (not everyday), I think beef has a lot of iron and it's good to BB's health

Me too, last weekend my hubby was not in HK and I was alone (with my helper) with Heidi for a few days. I went to see Disney on Ice with her and she really enjoyed the show very much. Clapping hands and dancing (on my lap) all the way. Since I was sitting in the first row, everytime the show characters came near, she'll wave and yell at them. It's really funny. But for me, I carry her all the way (coz I did not take the stroller with me) and my arms still soared and I'm really really tired. When I carry her sleep at night, she giggles to herself (I assume that she still recalls the show). When I saw her 'happy face', I'll forget how tired I am These few days, I saw the premolar and molars are coming out in Heidi's mouth, so she's not sleeping very well at night, I need to wake up a few times and carry her to sleep with me
:-(

don't push your son too much on eating, I think he'll adjust to his own diet and sometimes loosing temper to him doesn't help much (coz I tried before and will regret after that) now I'll show an angry face to my child and then explain to her why she needs eating or as Atta/Sheeta say, you can stop feeding him whenever he doesn't want and then feed him again earlier the next meal.

I want to ask if any of you had try giving 'fish/cod liver oil'? Can our BBs drink this? And what time will you brush your child's teeth? After night milk? or after dinner time?
