I bought one time with Xuntak,little bit things just 3kg, the result is OK. So I thought they are good and reliable.
Then this time I bought many wooden toys, little bit shoes and childwear. total 30 shops. I call them by long distance would it be too much, or I better separate them into various batches? They said it is OK. They said they have many clients with many transactions add together even for 50-60 shops. They have no problem at all. They ask me to send the delivery no by the Wangwang.
Then they weight the goods and told me I have many many things, some of them is very big, so need to count the size, not by weight. Total weight count is 85kg. I ask them what is the actual weight, they don't want to tell me. However they will give me a special price of $6/kg instead of $8/kg.
I search other delivery companies in Guangzhou, lowest is $5/kg. So it would not make sense if I ask Xuntak to transfer the goods to Guangzhou and then to HK. So I have no choice cause the goods are already in their hands. Then I have to pay $520 to get the goods.
I did suggest them if I can separate the delivery into different small batches or if they can take away the wrappings to minimize the cost. They said cannot.
However, I search other delivery companies in Taobao. I found other company - they are using weight only, not size at all. And they have pricing scales. Over 50kg, the price is $5/kg. SO the total I have to pay will be $330 only, $190 saving from using Xuntak. I asked Xuntak if they can offer me same price, they said impossible.
Today I got only 2 packages deliver to me. I call Xuntak again & ask why not 3 packages as told? He said because to go to the customs, cannot be so big. So they separate it into 5 pieces instead of the 3 pieces as stated to be (the price was high because the three boxes are big in size). And the timing of different things to approve is different, so the packages may come at different time.
Then I ask why he don't pack it into 5 packages (which would be smaller) at the beginning to save delivery cost? He said it is just the same cost.
Now even though I receive all goods, I am not able to ascertain if these things altogether really need the the 3 big boxes sizes as I was told. Hence they might be cheating actually.
I reiterate one more time if they are actually sent by many small batches, the cost will be counted on weight only. He said this will not be the case anyway.
Hence I will never use this company in future. I will use another company in Guangzhou where the price is cheaper.
Hope other Hong Kong people will learn from this lesson. Shun Tak always try to said need to measure by size and make the delivery cost higher than needed. However at that time you have no choice cause the goods are already sent there.
