I am only familiar with the Hermes size scarves. For the 90cm onces which is the standard size then there are quite a few ways to wear, with or without a scarf ring. If the smaller 70cm size then I usually just wrap around the neck as I find them quite a bit shorter when rolled up.
A simple one will be the cowboy style (I think that's what it is called, correct if wrong) - fold the scarf so that they become two overlapping triangles. Position the center of the triangle in front just below your neck, then wrap the two ends around the back of your neck, bring the two ends back to the front and tie a knot in front, on top of the triangle.
There are many other ways, you can do a quick search on the Net. Another thing to consider as to how to tie a scarf is which part of the scarf you want to show, as that would also affect how you would tie it.
