My baby is now 8 weeks old. I started giving him expressed milk from bottle 2-3 times a week since he was 2 weeks old. He feeds off the breast all other time. Since last weekend, he started to refuse to drink from the bottle. I use the Avent bottle and teat. Can anyone help? I'm not comfortable breastfeeding in public, so would really like him to be able to drink from the bottle.
Re: Baby refusing to take expressed milk from bottle
Thank you for your reply. I'll give that a try. Also, do you think the flow of the teat has anything to do with it? I'm still using the newborn Avent teat, should I try the one for 2 months?
I'm worried as I'm scared that one day my milk supply will not be enough for my son. If he doesn't drink from the bottle, he can't have frozen breastmilk or formula.
For all you experienced moms out there, if I'm producing enough milk now, will my milk supply continue to increase to match his demand? I believe babies peak their milk intake around 5-6 months before they start solids.

Don't worry about your milk supply. The golden rules are always: pump more frequently (tell your brain to produce more); have enough drinks or fish soup ; have enough ; trust yourself  .
