As for my case, I got a bit of such thinking. As my kid is in the year of Mouse, for Lunar month, August is the month for good harvest, at the same time, it is the month of September, suit for beginning of school term. So I gave birth to my son in the month of September.
But I don't like the month of Lunar 二月份， as it is the month with 驚蟄 - means a month with all 虫蟻 come out to the earth again.
