My son starts to standing at 7.5mths, walk by holding rail at 8mths, walk without any support at 11mths, and run soon. My mother also said this is 辛苦命. But I think it's because my son is very impatient and aggressive. I don't think we can stop him on such development. It's natural and he can only do this when he's capable so no need to worry too much. However, you should buy good quality shoes (to protect his small feet) and and not let him walk so long (to take rest).
