I am in a similar situation too but probably more extreme:
Pros:
1) I have more than $100,000 salary per month (yes I know this is a crazy number)
2) very flexible hours (basically nobody cares about my whereabouts as long as I get my work done)
Cons:
1) due to the flexibility of the job nature, it means the job can also be very unpredictable -- the job is project based and the client may ask for work at 24/7 anytime
2) always need to travel to China and sometimes overseas
3) no stable working hours, and even after work, need to check emails and get on conference calls
4) other than work, need to spend time socializing and networking with all bosses in the firm...
If you were me, would you also not quit and keep working in this job?
But even earning this amount of salary, I still cannot afford to buy a bigger and more decent property (still living in a small apartment), my lifestyle has not become much better (other than can buy some nice handbags, go out and have nice meals, less worried about daily spendings). I think HK is a sad place...
