you forgot about import duties. I bought some clothes from gymboree website, not knowing they are shipping from US. I was charged CAD$70 for the CAD$100 purchase.
You may think we only have to pay HK$56 for the tee. But if Canada custom find out it's a purchase from HK (by random opening up the parcel), we could have pay double for the duties.
yes, true, last time i brought CA 110 but i was charged $56 at that time....shot>-<

i tried that many years ago, ask my sister to send me the parcel as the x'mas gift. no commerical invoice, no lable. but when i went to the post office to pick it up. I was asked to pay CA$110 for those "used clothes". so end up - i don't pick them up and let them send it back to HK.
I think they check the parcel randomly. I've bought things from oversea and sometimes they didn't charge. I found that if they said it's merchandise they will charge you for sure. I paid $25 once for the $9.99 product on admin fee + tax...crazy.
So now I usually get my relatives or friends to ship them to me from HK or buy the clothing here. I found Zara and H&M are not too bad for kids clothing.
