Are you at 8wk or over 8wk? If your baby is smaller than 1 cm, it's VERY small. normally if there's no heart tone at 8wk, i think you have to accept the truth. iui and ivf is not the problem. Normally doctors can see the heart tone when you're in 6wk or around. if not, it has problem.
In my case, i did 1st iui and then bingo. I saw 2 doctors for 3 times in total and they both told me that the baby was TOO small and no heart beat (from 6wk to 7.5wk) so they both said it's miscarriage (missed abortion). 1 doctor said if i did iui, the baby should be big enough 'cos I know the ovulation time. for those who bingo naturally may find that they see heart beat later 'cos they may ovulate later.
2 doctors told me that miscarriage is very common and if i recover soon, i can bingo soon.
don't be sad and think what you should do. I had the same experience so you can share with me.
I did the operation last Fri and now take a rest and want to try again at the end of 2007.
Be positive, if you can bingo once, you can bingo next time. be strong if you want to be a mother and have a strong bb.
Are you at 9wk? Could you see heart beat before? If you can see heart tone before and suddenly can't see it, maybe you can wait.
If you have never seen heart beat until 9wk, be prepared to take medicine or do operation to evacuate it.
To me, my baby 'long' was also bigger but it's still too small for 7.5wk baby, besides, heart beat can't be seen so operation is done.
I know some friends who can see heart beat before and can't see heart beat later, they still have miscarriage.
Be positive. I told myself. If the bb doesn't have heart beat, I can't expect it to have arms and legs. Maybe you think I'm too mean. However, I'm just realistic.
BTW, BK sisters support you and don't be too sad. Many people, including me have the same experience. You're not alone.
