Yes, that is what I heard from my maids (they are the elder and younger sisters of that poor maid). I also met her before and she is the sort of kind, friendly and timid maid. In fact her younger sister has already drafted a complaint letter for her to the labour amd immigration department. But she does not want to stir up the matter so that she has not taken any action so far.
I believe her situation is true (abused by her employer) base on my trust on my maids. One of them has been working for me for the second contract and I will renew the contract with the other one later this year. I don't think they have exaggerated the fact. Furthermore, it is me asking them about thier sister's situation, they have not talked to me anything about that before.
I have been very fortunate to have two honest, helpful and reliable maids. I have seen so many employers in this forum who are not so fortunate that they have to keep searching for the right maid. I simply try to give a hand to this poor maid and those less fortunate employers by offering an opportunity for them to see if they could work out with each other. Both side have the choice.
As lots of employers agree that it is purely by luck whether you could find a good maid. If you have the chance of interviewing the maid face-to-face, why not give it a try?
