we buy a rice cooker (panasXnic, forget the model) which has some build in function for cooking casserole rice.
my favorite recipe is cooking 1/2 chicken and rice together (add a bit more water for making 爛飯) in the rice cooker. when the rice is nearly cooked, i add some minced chicken and vegetables. but just make sure before you serve, remove all big sized chicken and small bones. then the rice contains some protein which is easily digested (as the essence of the 1/2 chicken has been extracted during cooking) and stronger taste even without seasoning. I then eat all the 'left-over' chicken ...
