I must admit that I want to renew my contract with my indonesian maid, however, I really cannot accept her request: asking for $3670/month (so I have to pay $4070 after tax each month), and I have to bear her agency fee ($5000) for contract renewal, for my part ($1800), so total I have to pay ($6800).
Frankly, she is quite capable - can take care of my 2 daughters and also the household routine like cooking. Cleaning is so, so but I could not demand so much right? However, she is thinking that we cannot do without her so she is asking so much from us.
If you were me, what would you do? Will you sign the contract with her?
Actually I also have made up my mind to abandone
her since she is so "Ba Bai", but on the other hand, I really feel afraid that if the new one is not up to standard, I would have big trouble as I don't have any grandma or granddad as a back up.
Anyway, thank you all again for the back up and advice. Even though it might be risky, I would not regret it. Thanks! and God bless all of us to have a good maid.
