威尼斯酒店 is close to 歡樂谷 whereas 深圳灣大酒店 is close to Windows of the World.
威尼斯酒店 and 深圳灣大酒店 are at different classes. Must stay in 威尼斯. When booking the hotel room, make sure that you book the deluxe room (about $100 more) but the room is much bigger and luxury than standard room.
If you go to 歡樂谷 during CNY you have to prepare that there will a A LOT LOT of people (local and tourist from other provinces). I went there last CNY and could only play 3 games. On average I spent about 1 1/2 hours to queue for each game.
威尼斯酒店 is within walking distance to 歡樂谷 - 3 minutes. Very convenient. 深圳灣大酒店 has in fact been demolished. I saw it when I was on my way to 歡樂谷 last summer. I also stayed at 威尼斯酒店.
Yes there's a lot of local people going to 歡樂谷 during holidays. We went on a Sunday and already we needed to queue up some time for some of the games.
I saw your posting in Tokyo and you said "我囝囝去過幾次浸溫泉". Have you been to any 溫泉 hotel/resort in China? I'm still struggling where to go in CNY (we gave up Zhuhai and wanted to try somewhere else).
