Edsie:
She's a good maid, even now I still think she is good, just maybe sometimes she doesn't feel comfortable or she has been with us for too long and forgot her own position. Honestly, I am very unwilling to let her go. My situation is that I can't have no maid coz I am a working mom.....so I must find another helper before send her home. ai....what a bad luck for both of us.

Too bad, she once was a good maid, but too many bad friends teaching her this and that.
You better pay her 1 month and air ticket and let her go. But I'm sure she will go to Labour Dept. to sue you this and that etc...
I think u should really let her go asap before she changes her mind or go to labour office. In your case, maybe you can give her 1 month salary extra for the 1 month notice + the long term service payment!
I think it's hard to handle the situation when you a working full-time. Can any of your relative help you? Can you ask your part-time to come more frequent to clean the house and hire another local ee to take care of your girl?
My son is 4. I send him to 2 schools...(hehe...although I am a full-time mom and I have a maid now.)
In the morning, my son goes to 3 hours school mon-fri. and in the afternoon, I send him to another school (3hrs) for mon, wed and fri! so when i had no maid (my last maid left and it took 2 months for the new one to come), I was still ok! What you need to do is to ask someone (A relative or a part time local helper) to feed your girl lunch then send her to school in the afternoon again.
Our new maid has been with us for 3 wks! she is 37 and after reading your case, I worry that mine might end up getting ill like yours! My husband has been telling me that she didn't look too fit!!

We decided to let her go as the whole thing is just dragging us to hell. She starts doing bad things thinking we won't get rid of her. So, we decided to keep clam and look/ apply for a new maid, letting her know she will be dismissed by the end of June (her contract expires in Dec). I will give her long service even she has been working for us less then 5 years (4.5yrs for our family and other years at my parents). We are now paying her $4200/ month but $3580 in our contract. So, how do I calculate her long service? $3580 x 2/3 x 4.5 or $4200 x 2/3 x 4.5? She's now back to home to do her Voodoo treatment and will be back tonight.....sigh, should we tell her right after she came back or after we found a new maid? Please advice...
eventually signed one today! Never work in HK, 31 years old 5 year+ in Middle East then back home to have baby, now her baby almost 3yrs. Hope she's good. But takes two months to apply....sigh
