無所為啦，女都會係英國讀8 年書，我有$未去玩嘮! 仲有二三四女都會去讀嗎，我估我未來十年都會成日去英國 架 啦 !

問題係 我尋晚打去學校問要過英國custom 要present 亞女的 ｌｕｎｇ　ｘ－ｒａｙ片，係嗎 ？學校話唔使，但個個去讀書都話係 HK 照左先過去窩 ! 請問你地知嗎 ？

再問 SORRY

我個英國FRIEND話我女多可考裡移堪就船 ，去英國移民，請問如咁做，我四個女可否讀私立中學而平D呢 ？定係BOARDING都唔會同　港生差唔多呢　？

如ＯＮＬＹ係讀 PUBLIC SCHOOL先有優為，邊Ｄ先係好的ＰＵBＬＩＣ呢？係邊區多呢 ？又係未Ｄ　叻大學會唔係好睇Ｄ　ＰＵＢＬＩＣ SCHOOL 呢 ？

我地係無居英權的港人! 去英讀書係必要讀 INDEPENDENTＳＣＨＯＯＬ　架啦，咁要成　ＵＫＰ２１０００　以上　一年�　一個女　！　咁移堪就船　，諗得過嗎　？

稅製係點呢　？

if you haven't got 居英權, then your daughter cannot go to public school. you can only go independent school for boarding or being a day girl. If your daughter intend to get 居英權 using 留學生身分, she can apply for permanent residence status after 10 years in UK.
calculation: secondary school say 5 years? university 3 years? you still need 2 extra years to make up 10. you can either 1. study Master/PhD degree 2. work in UK, 3. study a 5 year bachelor course eg medicine, architecture.
Remember, no break between these 10 years.

oh to answer your question, even if you are UK citizen, you have to pay the same school fee (independent school) as those from overseas. no discount. But there are still some good public schools with high entry to OxBridge .... yes you have to CHOOSE.

which school is your daughter studying? For Great Malvern, the only school i am familiar with is Malvern Girls College.

Thanks for your reply.

We do not plan to shift to UK because of its high living standard.

My girl just got accepted by another independent school , we have changed our destination .. Not Great Malvern any more .

I start searching information again !

Congratulations to your girl in being accepted by another school. My husband just got relocated back to UK a month ago and we're now living in London. Wish you and your girls all the best in the new school.

Hi Msma,
why don't you consider go to paddington by cab or call a taxi? i am not sure how much more expensive than i was in london. but i remember that i tried once by cab from heathrow to somewhere in zone 1, the cost was around 50pounds. you can check that.

if you want to go by tube, that we can change the district line (green) from Earl's court. it also convinence and takes about an hour if you arrive uk that early, not so many ppl if that early. at peak hour, maybe need half more hour.

re lung x-ray - i've never done that when i was study there. but it may causes sars and especially students from asia, uk immd needs this report.

if you have uk passport, all of your daughters entitle the benifit for study, just pay a few hundred pounds per year for college same as local. (sorry, i have no ideas for any independent schools)

re tax - no need to pay extra tax if only study in uk. all the things already include when you buy, like foods, clothes...etc...that's about 20% (not sure, it was 17.5% when I was there. for traveller, only will return around 11%, but not for students)

我都係9月會去倫敦陪契仔開學呀,不過我係去teignmouth,都係要搭2.5個鐘頭火車先到,我都研究左好耐同埋聽左好多意見,我就選左條路就係係機場搭railair去reading station,reading station係一個火車站黎架,跟住就搭火車不停站咁去teignmouth,我地只係買單程,跟住再買單程既回程由teignmouth去paddington再轉地鐵去earl's court去酒店
