My maid is sick but refused to be treated (I will pay for all expenses) and I decided to let her go. New maid will come at the beginning of July. Tentatively discussed with existing maid about this, I promised I will give her extra money for compensation, and she verbally agreed (before hired new maid). Now I need to inform her about the last day, should I ask her to resign or just give her termination notice? If ask her to resign but give her two months extra salary for compensation, it will seem suspicious if she sued me at the equal opportunities commission. If I terminate her, she can also go to the EOC to sue me....what should I do? Thanks.
