I received a phone SMS on that change, and later on they said I did not paid the Visa Card payment, I said I did not received the bank statement and knew that they send e-copy to me.
So I complaint to them, it should be at least get my agreement before change, the bank can not make decision for me....etc, now they change back the hard copy statement to me la..

i have also changed to e-statement but every month when the monthly accounts closed they notify me by SMS on the phone stated e-statement available to print or viewing.. in the e-banking they can keep abt 1 year u can print anytime.
I'd received a letter from HSBC some time ago saying that they would not issue paper statement anymore since last month. Customers could choose to rec'd paper statement by choosing from the option from internet banking. However, the free paper statements could only be available up to the end of this year. They would charge ~$20 (could not remember exactly as I got this piece of info. from the CS operator when I rec'd that letter) for each paper statement as from next year.
HSBC did send me a SMS message and an email notification reminding me to retrieve the e-statement. So far, I rec'd the e-statement once last month.
