Tonight when I gave the milk bottle to my 4yo son before he slept, I saw moss on the nipple (of the milk bottle). The size is half a nail on the little finger, in BLACK. I confronted my maid. You know the standard answer, "mdm, I don't know why".
I often try to pamper my son to sleep whenever possible, but there are times I come home late & I have to rely on the maid to serve him. I wonder how many times has he drunken the moss into his stomach!
Only 2 weeks ago, I came home after work & saw my son's eye swollen, red & had jelly that looked like a contact lens on his eyeball. I quickly rushed him to the ER. Again, I asked my maid why she didn't call me as soon as she noticed something wrong with my son. She said it was not too serious (she didn't know my husband & I would be so nervous). She said Philippinos would put (a) eye-mo (i.e. eye-drop) & (b) mother's breast milk onto the infected eye. I was stunt, where on earth do I get breast milk - my son is 4yo already!!!!!!
I have so many arguments with my husband regarding this maid. I really want to replace her, but who has a good maid to offer to me?
Same case happened to my Indo Maid, too. I have2 kids (4 and 2) and total we have around 12 bottles and all put into a seperate box.
Last week, when I tried to make the milk for my elder girl for bed, I found the nipple is black with some mosses. I was so angry and asked her for explaination, she replied she never use that bottle before and only use 3 of them and keep washing that 3 but left those other 9 bottles in the box for months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was heavily briefed and I seriously warned her that this is an important negligance and she will be served heavy punishment if found repeated error. (But, I just blowing water... I don't know what to do instead if she make things happen again..?)
I 120% understand how you feel ... 心痛&激氣, right? Please don't waste your tears to cry, but use your energy to hunt for a good maid instead. I definitely feel you have to try another maid even no one can garantee the quality, but your current maid absolutely is BAD, a miserable maid!!!!!!! You mentioned, "I really want to replace her, but who has a good maid to offer to me?" <--- but if you don't terminate her, your son and you will continue to suffer and you will keep arguement with your husband becos of such a stupid maid, not worth it!!!
I read from your other message, other than intaking the mold of the milk nipple, you also mentioned she made your son injured and got stitches. That's ENOUGH!! If you try to get a new one, very likely you will one who is better than her, but you need to train her up from beginning, why not??
Jsmami, I have suffered a lot becos of my maid too. I stuggled for half year to terminate her or not, but finally I have made the decision to terminate her. At fist when i just decided, I was doubting if I am too picky or if it is my problem. But then, I totally found that it is her attitude problem and performance not up to basic standard for taking care of my child at 1.5 yrs old, not my problem wor!!! But when you choose your next maid, you really have to choose carefully and don't trust all from agency, trust yourself! 唔好咁興啦~~~ 得閒上黎呻下~~ 好多媽咪開解下你... 分享下會好好多!!
我鐘意你同我講 I Love U, I Love U Too!
You are the sunshine of my life. That's why I'll always stay around. You are the apple of my eye. Forever you'll stay in my heart.

Do not rely on them, check everything they claim that is clean and done.
They just like a 10% functioned walking machine with no sense of responsibility. You should think you are lucky at least you found the dirt. If you want to keep her, you must keep an eye on her CLOSELY.
For me, I check the maid with every steps she finished to see anything go wrong. This is just to show my attitude and to keep a standard. After six months, you know what, same dirtiness and mistakes.
I think they can be a helper bearly, don't rely on them.
Sometimes there is small dirt marks inside the milk bottles while my baby drinking the milk. Don't let them open the refigirator door for long time and they like to do so very very much. Watch out if you found the food inside have smell.
