Don't go to Filipino Market, there has got nothing only got a lot of kid to ask u for money and there actually is a wet fish market only.

I have been to KK in this June, while i ask for the local people where and how can i go there, every body show me funny face..... & i still go there anyway.... but so dissapoint..

Sapi Island is the smallest and most popular island. Not dangerous as long as you don't play the water sports. However other than the beach it doesn't seem much for a 2-year old boy to play on the island.

我上次去沙巴係帶美金去到機場外面小店換錢, 我想問係咪港幣到可以換到架啦? 因為我唔想一次過換咁多, 諗住唔夠先係酒店再換, 請問邊種方法好? thx

Yes, you can bring HKD and change outside the airport. There is money exchange in hotel but rate will slightly be lower.

I will go KK, may I know which restaurant is good in Magellan? Because I arrive at around 7:00pm in the 1st day, so may not go to the town.

Which island has more fish and suitable for the kids for feeding the fish, because the kids do not know to swim.

Hi October,

I stayed in the Harbour Wing of Magellen Sutera in August. The harbour wing is closer to the swimming pools and also the marina club so I think it's preferable. I stayed on the 4th floor which has better view than lower floor.

I have eaten in Ocean Seafood which is quite good but not cheap if you do eat Tiger Prawn, Lobster and fresh fish.

There is a small restaurant which sells good Hainan Chicken Rice. It's called Maya which is along the road that the Magellen shuttle bus route to town.

There's not much dining choice in the hotel, only the coffee shop, lounge, a pizza restaurant and a western style (french or italian) restaurant but quite expensive. I had lunch once in the coffee shop and the food is OK. I remember there's a Chinese restaurant in the Pacific Sutera Hotel which is very close to the Magellen.

I went to both Sapi and Manukan Island. I think Sapi is better for young kids. It's small and the beach is very close to the pier. A lot of fish and water spots. We went scuba diving, feeding the fish and parasailing. Very enjoyable.

What about the marine wing, is it close to the swimming pool?

In the Sapi or Manukan Island, can my kids ( only 101cm tall) go to the sea to feed the fish ?

Also, what about the Garden Seafood, is it good and less expensive?

Sorry I was confused. I actually stayed in the marine wing which is close to the swimming pools especially the pool with water slides which belongs to the Sutera Marina Club where hotel guests can use.

Of course your child can feed the fish provided he knows how to float or if he doesn't know how to float, you give him a life jacket (borrow on the island) where he can easily float on the water. Make sure you bring with you some breads to feed the fish. You can buy the bread from the supermarket in town or even get some from the buffet breakfast in the hotel.

I didn't try Garden Seafood so cannot comment.
