I'm planning to buy a desktop. Please give some comments. Thank you.

Dell Dimension(TM) 5150C Desktop

- Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 521 with HT Technology (2.80GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)

- Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition(Traditional Chinese)

- 512MB NECC Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz SDRAM (2x256MB)

- 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

- 80GB SATA Hard Drive

- 24X DVD*/CD-RW Combo Drive

- 128MB PCle™ x16 ATI Radeon™ X300SE

Is it worth to buy or any other model suggest to me? Thank you.

More RAM is recommended (at least 1G); for DDR2, 2 set is required in order to have better performance!

The price is high or low? If I don't choose Dell, any other suggestion?

Actually, I don't know much of I.T. Please tell what combination is need. Thank you very much.

KYLai, thank you for your suggestion. From advertisement, it is upgraded to 1G Ram. What does it mean of "2 sets of DDR2 is needed"

In short, if you want to have 1G Ram, 2x512M DDR2 is much better than 1x1G DDR2 ...

For buying a desktop computer, you can pay attention on,
- Price
- CPU speed
- Display Card (shared memory or not)
- HDD size / speed (e.g. 7200 rpm is minimum for desktop)
- OS included (e.g WinXP)
- Warranty (e.g. how long, include ???)
- LCD max. resolution, DVI? or just D-Hub?
