same as my bb... my bb has 2 short naps (1/2-1hour each) & 2 longer naps (1.5-2.5 hours - after 1st morning feed & after dinner) and one sleep through tthe night...
I used to read from a baby magazine called "arents" (US version), it said that experts found that babies' brain development is closely associated with their sleep, if your baby has enough naps during the day, it helps your baby maintains pleasant mood so that become more focus on learning, it will also help them have a more quality sleep at night. According to the experts' recommendation, below is the naps a baby should take during the day at different ages :
3 mths 3-4 naps 2 - 4 hrs
6 mths 2 naps 1- 3 hrs
12-18 mths 1-2 nap 1hr in morning/or 1-3 hrs at noon
2-3 yrs 1 naps 1 - 3 hrs at noon
3 yrs above 0 - 1 nap 1 - 2 hrs depends on kid's personal need.
My boy is turning 1 year and he takes 2 naps per day, 1 short nap in the morning and 1 longer nap in the afternoon, just as the recommendation.
