My baby girl had the similar situation as yours. When I breast fed her, she had a record of 5 days and 7 days to have poo poo.
The first time I worried a lot and called my paediatrician and he said it is ok. Since I worried a lot, he taught me to use "gum yau till" to release her poo poo. Then, I followed his instructions and found my daughter did not have much poo poo as I expected. So, I did not worried that much when the 2nd time she had her record high of 7 days which have no poo poo.
I guess due to breast feeding, our babies absorbed all the nutrition as needed. Therefore, most of the output became urine. Every time when we ask for guideline from nurses, they only emphrasize on how many "wet urine" diapers daily.
I hope this may help. Don't worry!
p.s. Since I am back to work, I cannot breast feed my daughter in person. I can only pump out to feed her and mix with formula. In fact, she is not willing to eat much when I bf her in person due to her lazyness.
sisigal, thank you for your sharing.
I understand your point that our babies absorb most nutrient from breast-milk. That's also told by nurses. However, when this problem comes to our own babies, as a mother, I just worry.
Keep on your pumping. I did so to my elder daughter 3 years ago. Being a working mother is also as difficult as a full-time mother.
