My daughter is 14 months old. We just moved from Hong Kong to US for 6 weeks. We live in Fremont. I would like to join the class in the community center with my daughter since she is a very shy baby. Any information about that?

I also come from HK and I live in San Francisco city. I have been here for more than 3 years and married for 2 years already. I have a son going to be 17 months old next week and am expecting a 2nd one early September. Welcome to Bay Area. If your daughter likes music, you can let her try some kind of musical class like gymboree, my gym but I'm not sure if these are available in Fremont. Or, you can set up playgroup with BK moms in Bay Area so that your baby girl can meet some new friends.

btw, we live in san jose. i'm not familiar with fremont although my boy used to go to preschool in fremont for 1 yr when he's 2. i just dropped him off and picked him up from preschool there at that time.

Thanks SY_Mom. I think most of the classes are for the toddlers aged from 18 months onward. Actually I did a search before. I would like to join this class
http://regerec.ci.fremont.ca.us/Activities/ActivitiesDetails.asp?aid=1045 . This is for 12-18 months toddlers. However, the online registration had been closed. I have to go to the front desk to do the registration on next week.

Hello Mom in Bay area,

My husband has been lived in Berkeley for 4 years and I travel from HK to Berkeley for every 3-6 months. Until now, my little one comes. She is now 12 months and I paln to stay with him in Berkeley. Please let me know if you have any info realted to baby or mother.

Thank you so much, meeemeee. Yes, I live in Warm Spring ar. I just made the medical appointment for my daughter last Friday at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She haven't done all the vaccination for 12 to 18 months.

I haven't go to Berkeley for quite a while already. I live in south bay/the peninsula. I miss the North Face outlet in Berkeley!! :D

I am a LA mom and I will have my 2nd baby soon like u (my elder daugher is 23 months now and my due date for the 2nd baby is end of Aug) How do u feel? Do u have pain around the hip area? I have back pain and hip pain and luckily I started my maternity leave already and my father-in-law fought from Hk to help me with home chore. So I am some what "enjoying" now. Yes. I vote for a Saturday or Sunday (but not Sept 1). What will be a good location? Indoor/outdoor? What is the proposed activity?

ALL MOM:

For those who would like to join for the gathering, please suggest what location you like (or not like), time period of the day (morning, afternoon etc), etc. So, we can make a count and try to schedule a better time for everyone.

I am thinking for indoor: we go to a restaurant etc and find a place that we can sit down for chatting, eating etc. Or if anyone who can host the gathering in his/her house.

For outdoor: go to a park or so. Bring some toys for kids to play or panic or snack or BBQ etc

(sorry, my house is too small and don't have the luxury to host for party/gathering)

My husband and I also belongs to PAMF, but we see different doctors. My daughter see Dr Linda Chan.

To all Bay area moms,
I would like to join the gathering. I prefer it on weekend afternoon since I need my husband to drive me out and my daughter also enrolled to classes on both Sat and Sun morning.

I would like to join the gathering too. Saturday afternoon will work for me. I think we can do something outdoor since the weather in September should still be quite nice . The Marina Park in San Leandro and Lake Elizabeth in Fremont are pretty nice, but not sure if it'll be too far for the SF moms.

After I settle down in my new house in Union City, I can host a gathering at my place, probably in October or November, or we can do a Christmas party for the kids. :)

Oh God, your case is same as mine. I just moved to Fremont on early July. If your husband is an US citizen, you can apply either the K3 visa or PR . The approvel of K3 usually a bit faster than PR if you would like to come here as soon as possible. For me, I came here by K3. Usually, K3 allows you to stay here as long as 2 years for applying PR.
