Buy an used car -- pls advise

Hihi...OZ mummies,

My family is going to OZ this mid-June and would like to buy a used car. Do you have any advise to me? anything i have to pay attention?

Carlingford is one of my choices, but looking the rental on web, it's quite expensive, isn't it? Is the average rent there is A$400-$450 leh?

Seems many things to do... I need to settle rental issue first, then car issue, then my baby's play group, etc :lol: will be a busy year :)

係呀, 而家d租金貴左好多, 仲好難租tim, 我arm arm先搬完屋, 搵屋都搵左成5-6個星期, 星期亦睇屋好似有米派咁, 間間屋都成10-20group人睇!! 我地最尾租而家呢度比之前住個度足足貴左成aud$100. :-(

$400-450 係carlingford租到大概3個房既unit/townhouse, 如果3個房通常都有一套房, 同埋carlingford d屋都ok新淨ga, 我自己個陣都睇過下, 不過因為我地無車, 所以end up都無諗, 我地而家就住epping lor, 有火車站方便好多, 不過就貴lor!!

醫院係呀, 我個陣一知道有左就要立刻book ga la, 我個陣最初打算係private生, 個陣有左10個weeks唔夠想打電話去book, 有幾間都已經full左lu!! end up因為fiancially既問題就去左public lor, 不過d services都好好呀!! 我mummy話同香港d private有得fight ga!!

你過到黎搵左地方住落先啦, 初初靠下public transport先lor, 睇住時間呀... playgroup 個方面呢度d council/childcare dept. 有曬資料, 你到時email/打電話去問就ok ga lar!! 我生阿b既時候出院去俾左本野我ga, 你遲d要我email 佢地d contact information俾你呀!!

Little _A,其實你要２房or3房?我見Epping & Eastwood d 2房舊unit都係AUD$300-$350/wk(近火車站),2房新unit要around AUD$400-$450/wk.講交通方便一定係Epping & Eastwood 好過 Carlingford,and Eastwood又多唐人雜貨店&酒樓,我覺得對你會方便d(only個人意見).

我family九頭已移民黎澳洲,一直都住係Carlingford,後尾回流返hk,我都係剛剛回流返黎唔夠兩年,都係住番以前間屋.

我本身想book North Shore Private,但係今年好多人生ｂｂ，我wk6打去book都已經full左啦,依家要book Mater Private都係NSP附近,我下星期第一次睇Obstetrician,有d緊張...haha.

我聽朋友講Mater Private幾好ga, 我之前都有打算過book Mater ga, 好似比NSP仲好ga, 你放心la!! 咁你下個星期咪可以第一次見到阿B lor!! 我個時第一次去睇都好緊張ga!! heehee 你小心d啦!!

今日同阿B去shopping... 買左超多fisher price既玩具~~!! 佢arm arm夠3個月, 聽到d music同d燈都好happy呀!!

唔洗客氣, 你到時要D資料就話我知啦, 我下個星期會同阿B去D Parents' Group, 等我到時再問多d資料先, 係wor..你阿B幾大呀?

我而定Epping租成$360呀, 2個房only, 好貴呀, out曬budget, 不過我地no choice, 因為屋主要收番間屋, 我地都係arm arm趕得切搵到, 我之前擔心搵唔到屋擔心到喊左好多次呀!! 因為BB仲係細ma... :-( :-(

我真係唔係嚇你ga, 你預鬆小小時間好dd; 我個陣都大安置意諗住唔洗驚, 1-2個week一定搵到啦, 因為之前次次搵屋都係用差唔多時間...

但係而家真係好難搵呀, 因為加息, 好多人都唔想供屋住要搵租盤, 以前多數都係2-3家人去睇屋而家真係...顛ga!!

你budget $300-350, 你預計會搵到2個房lor, 同埋唔會好新淨... 3個房呢個價錢無咩可能lu...3個房起碼去到$400-450
你得閒去REAL ESTATE WEB睇下呀!!!

eastwood d屋會比較舊, 同埋我d 朋友都覺得eastwood開始雜左d, 所以我自己都唔係太prefer lor, 不過買野真係勁方便, 我而家都個個星期落eastwood買野ga!!

我係sydney住左大概7年, 之前係度讀書ge, 得我同老公係度, 其他屋企人都係曬香港...

Refer to the rental price i just get the idea from the www.domain.com.au, and actully i live in the house that was bought by my family around 15 years ago. So I think you better take the advise from "wongbbb", at least she is living in a rental unit now, her information should be more update than me. And also you can go to the web site >> www.whereis.com.au , in this site you can type in the address and find out is that need station or main road. Just like the 中原地圖 in HK.
Haha i don't want to make you confuse, anyway take care, and if you have any question just ask, coz i think the people in here really want to give you a hand.

aii...其實我最理想係 a$300 有2房,仲係eastwood添...不過好係難d, 所以我都唔知自己想點..究竟係住細d好呀, 或是住遠d好, or 加碼去到a$350．　　但係而家咁既情況，我諗我要　ｂｕｄｇｅｔ　ａ＄３５０＋ｅａｓｔｗｏｏｄ＋１ｒｏｏｍ　ｏ乍　 :-(

Heehee, yup this is my first baby, and actully i did one ultrasound when the baby was wk6, that is to confirm the due date than i can go book the hospital. At that time already can record the baby heart beat. But I know that when wk12-13 need to do another ultrasound (oscar). I just a bit worry about that. But lucky that everything is fine for me, no vomit, no morning sickness :lol: For the hopspital >> Mater, haha anyway i have no choice, so i will stay with this only choice, and it is good to hear other people comment as Mater is as good as NSP(Private).
Anyway have a nice weekend.

My in-law live in Carlingford ga hehehee..... they live in Carlingford more then 22 years la.... hehehee....

係呀, 我同老公仲有d朋友都覺得eastwood雜左, especially近station個附近, 我個friend試過夜間8:00左右係station行返屋企, 俾人拎住支鐵"ton"打賊, 個陣d shop都未close ga, 最令我側目既係我個friend叫救命都無人理... so even eastwood係方便我都give up左唔choose個區lor!!

你早d睇定我send俾你個個website, 咁等老公一到就要去睇屋ga la, 不過而家d agency真係好衰, 之前都話知你urgent搵屋會星期中開下d properties俾你睇, 而家你求佢地都無用, 都係叫你等星期六d open house....

咁其實你老公過到黎會住邊ga? 同埋你諗定back up好d, touchwod你老公趕唔切搵屋起碼你地都要有地方落腳wor...
