I'd that bad experience before because ParX & WelcXX
supermarket always on sale. I always buy so many at home, such as Rice -8 kg x 2 packs (sometimes 4 packs), Soy - 2 bottles x 2, Oil -900 ml x 4 bottles;, salt, sugar, wahing powder, etc., then they will easier to sell as u may not aware because they always sell 1 bottle/pack by 1 bottle/pack.
I asked the maid did she know how may mud of rice for 5 persons as 1 dinner, she changed her face and of cource her answer must be ' NO ' la, so I tell her everything so expensive outside there, I have to SET-UP A NOTE BOOK for our family budget/expenses use. Later, the condition much better than before because I always checked and discussed with her about the price and our family use situations.
The important thing is you must keep all the invoices and let her know you always keep that for your supporting.
I remember seeing that topic before - one bag of rice = 37 cups?
If you wanna know for sure, why don't you try to meaure it yourself next time your maid buys a new bag of rice? Doing it in front of her will let her know that you do keep track. When I buy bird's nest I always count in front of my maid.
