In my last pregnancy, my son was not growing well inside me and I was found to be suffering from IUGR. My son's head circumference was normal but his abdomen and leg were well behind the schedule (about 2-4 weeks behind). He was eventually born at a weight of 3.5 lb at 36 weeks by c-section at QM. He stayed in the warm box for 10 days and was discharged home. He was fine in every aspect except underweight (Thank God). He was able to catch up within 3 months. My son's now 1 yr and 7 months and he's perfectly ok, active and lovely !
I'm now carrying the 2nd bb and i'm in the 30th week. Just went to the Dr and he found that my bb girl's head and leg are normal but her abdomen is 2 weeks behind the schedule. He said I am most probably having IUGR again this time. But he said this time the bb will be heavier than my 1st child.
The reason for my IUGR problem is most probably due to stress and the fact that my placenta's not functioning well.
I was very very worried about my son last time but this time I am not that worried. Sleep more and take more rest, it will help BB's growth !
