Yes, I purchased my mom's insurance in HK for six months (maximum) thru INC. It cost around HK$4,000. I needed to extend her health insurance once the extension was granted. And my friend refer me this website http://www.travelinsurance.ca. I found the price is okay wo.

we bought the blue cross insurance for my MIL for 3 months in HK for HK$1800...at we bought on line, got 25% discount..

since your in-laws is from HK, better get the policy issed from there..

if they are 75 or younger, you can try prudential and chubbs.. they are cheaper. for me, we choose blue cross as my MIL is 84, only blue cross cover senior over 80

will check my MIL's policy and let you know.. but we just bought the basic plan, as MIL is the citizen here, so we just need to cover her 3 months grace period before OHIP kicks in...

Hi Truffle,
You may visit www.cic.gc.ca. There is a section for visitor visa extend and you may download the form and mail it to immigration. I have applied for 6 months but still no reply yet. It say it takes 90 days processing time and for cases received upto 10Aug07 only. A bit worried if it would approve or not :cry: .

I am in Canada now and so as my mother. So just want to extend her stay here. If you are in HK, why you want to extend ? I think only in-Canada required for extension.

Caused I planned to move to Canada next year (for my b's give birth)

and my mom will go with me. That's why she would like to stay a little bit longer and take care with me ~
Just wonder this application whether can apply in HKG ~
I think I will apply it when we arrived in Canada also ~
