My current Fino maid asked for going back to Fino after working for 4 months because her dad died. She needed to attend his funeral and handle some legal documents. She requested for over 10 days leave. I only allowed her to take not more than 6 days and asked her to provide i) her dad's death certificate, ii) her return ticket and iii) a letter with her signature to prove that she would only take 6 days no-pay leave. Then she told me she wouldnt go because 6 days were too short!
Three months later, she asked for going back to Fino again for another reason: her son couldnt breath well and she needed to bring him to see a doctor from her rural home town to Manila. She alleged that none of her family members (not even her husband) nor friends could help because they have never been to Manila before. She just needed 4 day off this time and wanted to fly after two weeks. I told her that she must have to take the leave within three days as her son's health was at risk now (!!!). I brought her to buy the ticket together but she was reluctant. She told me on the next day that she wouldnt go now as the doctor's schedule was very full and she couldnt book an appointment with him! I took her that it was up to you but didnt tell me every two months that you need to go back to Fino!
