my bun suddenly asked me to sign a reference letter for her to certify that she's worked for me for the past 12 mths. her contract will end in oct this year. she told me it's for her son school etc....

i think she's applying for canada....

what shall i do?

sorry to hear that. seems your maid is quite ok as u plan to renew her contract.

i guess u may need to find a new one soon.

thats what we think as well. cos our bun performance has been v good so far, so both me & my husband think "good start good end" ma + we both working, my baby is in her hand all the time. i agree with you, it's so easy to just ask someone for forge the signature la.....

forgot to update you, in the envelop, she forgot to take out a letter, it's to the immigration dept of philippines, it's to authorize her sister to pick up a discharge letter???!!!! sigh....... i think i'd better start looking!!! 1 mth is just not rnough to hire new maid????!!! m so worried!!!:-( :-(

冇野可以做, 快d搵定人啦....

通常呢d情況, 佢地一得到canada果邊批准, 會即刻同你resign....

你有權唔sign reference俾佢, 但佢要搵人冒名寫reference亦一d都唔難....

你都可以問清楚佢了解先
因為好似有agent出高價搵人
但如果佢有好路數都冇法
treat　ｉｔ as　ｂｕｓｉｎｅｓｓ放佢走叫佢介紹吓下一個
佢做得好我會比ｒｅｆｅｒｅｎｃｅ
佢都係打工仔

i'm sorry to hear that. good maid is so hard to find.
u better find a new maid asap.
is it possible to talk to her and ask her to stay one more month until u can find a new maid?

thx you for all your advice. talked to an agent friend, she said it's a v common problem now. i will start looking now, if i find a good one will decide then. but my agent friend said since dec last year, the quality of maid got worse!!

i think i got over the initial shock, thx you BK sisters!! am constant planning the transition period. will observe how my maid's day of work from now on, & mark down her routine. in case i have a maid i know how to train her.
