my experience for washing machine is better extend the warrenty with manufacturer because you use it nearly daily and will use it for years. i had once have the same problem. the "c fu" said had to change some sort of parts, charge for over $1200; but then i remember i still got warrenty, so check with the manufacturer, the technician came and check , no need to change any parts, just something is loose, he fixed for me, no charge.
