My helper is from Phillipinnes. I think she is OK because her key task is to take care of my son. I work part-time only so I have more time to teach and play with my son. I never ask her to do this and that as long as she takes good care of my son, but she herself will do the housework and arrange the schedule. So I think in this way Phil helpers are better than Indonesian helpers.
More importantly, my son's English is much better than those taken care by Indonesian helpers, maybe it's just by chance, but it is true that his spoken English is good and that also helps his reading skill. He is now in K1 and he can read English story books for primary students. Of course he does a lot of readings every day and I read with him when he was a baby.
Of course...not including the "tips" they take from your shopping money...and dental.....Mine only come her for 3 months, she already told me her tooth is painful....
