Need your help. My best friend has multiple galllstones. Have any of you had the treatment done before? Is cutting the gallbladder the only solution? Any other method other than cutting the gallbladder? I was told that Shock Wave is very common now in the State. Is it really the case? Please help.
Shock wave is common worldwide, not just in US.. even in HK if your friend is eligible.
if the gall bladder stone is too big or too much gall bladder stone inside the gall bladder, surgeon will not do it that way.. they will do surgery.. nowadays, very popular for Key hole surgery (which is about 3-4 holes over the tummy), the surgeon will cut 3-4 holes, and about 2-3 cm for each hole.. use the regular method.. cut the gall bladder out and sew the tube. even for the "key hole", your friend can get up in bed after 8 hours of surgery, and recover very soon.
