I would like to mail milk power to my friend who live in US
I would like to ask:
1. is there restriction to the maximum amount of cans to be mailed? how much per box (8 cans)
2. I will visit my friend in July. How many can I bring by
myself? is it strict during inspection?
1. it's almost impossible to mail the Japanese formula fm overseas, U.S. customs is v strict on importing food fm overseas. Sending within U.S. might be ok.
2. I always bring the formula when I travel to U.S. from Hong Kong and my baby is with me every trip. So when I go through the customs asking me if I bring any food, I always say "yes" and when they ask what kind of food, I just say baby formula. They never check my bags as my baby is with me so it's reasonable to bring formula. Usually I'll put 8 cans in my checked bag. If you don't have a baby travelling with you and you want to bring in formula, you will be questioned and not sure if they will allow the formula through.
