Hello OZ moms,

We are planning to go OZ for a trip in August, would like to hear your suggestions and advice. We have 2 kids (3yr & 6 Yr), our 1st stop is Gold Coast and we will stay there for a few days and then either join local tours or self-driving to Sydney. Do u think join local tours or self-driving is better? Any attractions or theme parks are recommended for our young kids? If we have HK driving license, can we drive in OZ durng the trip?

How is the weather in Gold Coast during early August, is it too cold to go the beach or to do water activities? If we choose self-driving from Gold Coast to Sydney, we might stay in some holiday parks, any recommendations?Besides holiday parks, any other accomodations you would suggest?

Goldcoast in Aug still cold, no water activity. WB THeme park if you never been to. Sea world is expensive and like Ocean park, much smaller than Ocean park.

Paradise Country is good, you can see all Queensland life in three hours.

The horse shows...... no comment because i didn't watch cause comment is not good.

The rest of theme park may not suitable for young kids. Dream world also and small zoo for young kids but the rest of game if for older kids.

Take a look this web site, you may not need to book from and you can book from direct theme park.
