Baby was checked through blood test whether he is G6PD deficiency or not while borned. The doctor will tell u if he is G6PD deficiency because a lot of thing have to be aware.
G6PD is a enzyme. If deficient, usually he will get yellowish while born. My baby confirmed is G6PD deficiency while born and directly stay at hospital for ultra-lighting. He only can go home after one week when his yellowish level is less than 260.
Doctor will give a card to G6PD deficiency baby to mention that the medicine which cant be taken forever(e.g. malaria). Also, he cant eat the fava bean.
Any how, my baby is very healthy now but only have to beware of his medicine taken.
