I think all the home pregnancy tests are accurate if you follow the instructions. I used Clear Blue before and found it quite easy to use. They also have package of two tests for you to choose from. In case you have to take more than one test, it will be cheaper to get Clear Blue with two tests in one box.
Thanks for your information. I don't know Clear Blue got two tests in one box.
My last M was 15/3 but till now the M still haven't come. I bought 2 dotest before. I tested one on 20/4 & the result was negative. Then I tested one this morning & it showed a "very very light" line. I don't know this means positive or not.
I will buy Clear Blue to test again after a week if the M still haven't come.
My personal experience with Clear Blue is not that good. I bought it before to test for pregnancy. Usually it should show 1 line if result is -ve and 2 lines if result is +ve. For me, whether I was pregnant or not, there were NO lines. I bought several and still couldn't confirm the pregnancy. At the end my doctor confirmed it for me. The same also happened to my friend.
So the second time around I just bought something from Watson's brand, much cheaper and it showed the result very clearly on the first try.
Hi YuYuMother, when you buy the pregnancy test, you can look for those with two tests in one box which is cheaper than buying two individual tests. Clear Blue gives you a "+" sign if you are pregnant which I think is quite easy to read. However no matter which test you take, make sure you read the instruction so that you won't do anything wrong that will affect the result.
If you are really concern about it, better go to see a doctor and get a blood test. Blood test can confirm the result sooner than a urine test.
Meanwhile since you don't know whether you are pregnant or not, you better take good care of yourself and treat yourself like you are pregnant. Hope it is helpful and wish you luck.
If your last M is in mid-March. It should be 6 /7 weeks already and the HCG level should be high enough. Even ultrasound should be able to detect the small embryo.
Conclusion: 50/50! :-P
Probably your M is really late. Or the doctor's test is not accurate.
I also think you can wait for a week before doing the test again. Meanwhile you can check whether you have other signs of pregnancy, e.g. Nausea (want to vomit), sudden increase/decrease in appetite, breast engorgement?
