Usually our ovulation day is about 14 to 16 days before our NEXT period start. If your cervical fluid is very wet and strechy (like raw egg white) around that time then it is very likely that you are about or you are ovulating. If you are trying for baby, you can start having sex on the day you experience the "egg white" like cervical fluid until the last day you have it. Usually after ovulation, the cervical fluid will turn dry.
