haha! i'm not living in UK. I know the place because I studied in Newcastle before and my husband is British born chinese and he is from Sunderland. We're actually going back this Dec for X'mas & New Year holiday....really looking forward to it! btw, we've a 3 years old too :)
are you from HK too? why did you move to UK?

Just had our dinner. Oh! ic. So, do you live in HK now? Are you working or being a full time mum? My hubby is also a BBC, but he went back to HK for a long time. Last year, he resigned from his post in HK and would like to find a better one, but he couldn't find a good one. At that moment, his parents asked him to come back and assist their shop. Also, we wanted to let our child to have better education. I had to quite my job too. Studying is really a burden on most children in HK. It's interesting that before I came to Gateshead, I thought that it's a suburban place and not many places for shopping. BTW, it's not. Sometimes, I may go to Metro centre(shopping centre). Unfortunately, it's usually hard to find a parking space sometimes although it emphasises there are around 10,000 parking spaces. Hmm..I think you may have some relatives in Newcastle, so you will visit them during X'mas & New Year?

我都係住好近Newcastle果邊o架, 有時都會去 Gosforth 探親戚朋友. 我有一個乖時好乖, naughty時當自己張床係彈床, 就快三歲的囡囡. 我都有去 metro centre shopping 呀, 有時可以spend幾個鐘係果度, 又唔怕天氣唔好, 呢輪有聖誕老人係果度同小朋友影相. 係呢, 你平時忙些什麼? 有冇做野? 我係full time mum 同有一個就快出世的 bb.

係呀! 我係由香港來英國, 已經快六年了. 係第二個國家識咗我老公, 跟住就黎咗呢度. 我老公好細就已經係英國住, 總括來講, 佢成家都係英國. 我地都有朋友住Sunderland, 不過我覺得 Newcastle 熱鬧d. 睇到你好似係 Newcastle 讀過書? 是嗎? 你以前在英國住了多久? 你現在住在香港嗎? 呢度開始涷, 今日出太陽, 好好天氣, 但都好涷, 所以如果你來英國, 都要著件厚褸, 免著涼.

We've been living in Singapore for many years since my husband was posted to take a regional position and based here. My husband's family and all relatives are in UK so we try to go back almost once a year. Yes, I did study in Newcastle before and quite like it. We're looking forward to our holiday in UK this Dec. Singapore is too hot and I do miss cold weather

Did you make a lot of friends there? Do you miss Hong Kong?

原來你係新加坡住咗好多年, 咁會唔會以後都係果度長住, 又會唔會返英國做野呢? 係呀, 你果度真係好熱. 我記得大約1993年, 我同屋企人去過新加坡玩, 果時都好熱, 行唔夠十五分鐘, 個頭頂好"慶",

要即入商場解熱, 我地果時住係 Plaza Hotel (唔知現在仲係咪度?), 但你果度比起英國乾淨好多. 原來你地大概1年返來1次, 咁你老公d親戚見到你地實好開心喇! Oh! You do miss cold weather? 我好怕涷啊! 不過, 其實英國都唔算涷, 起碼未試過去 shovel snow. 我係呢度反而識唔到 closed friends, 他們都只普通朋友, 自從生咗呀囡仲生疏咗. 反而以前係加拿大讀書時仲識到知心friends (call 佢出來, 會即出果種), 可能我加拿大的朋友, 通常都識得我阿媽, 同知我阿哥阿嫂做咩, 所以會冇咁避忌, 暢所欲言. 但呢度的中國人好似有d古怪, 講說話時有d避忌. 不過, 現在結咗婚, 大部份空閒時間都同咗老公去街, 同揍細路, 有時又用 webcam 同家姐及朋友傾下計, d 時間就咁就用去. 你問我miss 唔miss香港??? 哈...唔知點解我 miss 香港的親戚多過 miss 香港, 1997前d人仲好有禮貌, 但我係1998年返香港holiday, 香港多咗好多大陸人, 我住港島, 果度冇地鐵, 有一次得我一個等巴士, 巴士到, 突然有個操國語的男人跑過來, 一手blocked住個入口, 狂叫正在跑緊的一班國語人上車(大約二十個), 我當地好鬼angry, 個男人好冇禮貌, 得我一個佢都要blocked住我. 舊年返香港, 又有d古怪野發生. 同埋我去商場推住bb車, 係冇人會開門比你, 唔開都唔緊要, 我自己推開門, 有好多人都會同你爭行, 仲有d會用個口"jet" 你

Yes, we also tried to go back to HK a few times a year if possible cos I miss my family & my mum's home cooked food

Any good indoor playground for kids you can recommend me?

Sorry, I do not online quite often, so I couldn't reply your message on time. Basically, I am a full time mum, but when the food shop is busy, then I have to assist them (not quite often). Our shop is closed today, so we went to have lunch in a Japanese restaurant and bought many stuffs from Chinese restaurant and Costco. I found that it's quite expensive to have Japanese food here, but it's my favourite food. We live not quite far away and I think we may meet one day. Is your daughter attending nusery now?

. 好呀...有機會約出來見喇, 最衰我大住個肚, 就快生得, 老公又成日返咗工, 我得架車係度, 又未有車牌, 去邊都唔方便. 係呀...好開心, 我囡囡終於1月有 nursery 返喇, 每日返2.5hours.

Thanks for the information in your email. Yes, I did go out for some Christmas shopping these few days and bought something for my son and relatives. Japanese food is my favourite. You are lucky that you could have alot in your relative's shop in Canada in the past? Is it a Japanese restaurant or not? Did you work there before? Now, we are operating a Chinese takeaway, so we can cook some chinese takeaway dinner when things have left.
Oh! I have never tried the big cake from Costsco. As you said, I will not buy it in the future.
Your baby will be born soon, please take good care.
