Actually there are 2 persons in the " black doctor" who is standing by the table.
The top man folds his legs all the way up to his chest. (So the magician has to choose a man with big head but short legs to be his assistant for this purpose.) You can see his chest is very thick because he hides his legs there.
The hips and legs that are standing by the table actually belong to another person who bend his body at 90 degrees to hide his chest and head inside the table. ( You see the table is like a box ? )
The chain-saw is not real.
The whole thing is covered in a long doctor's gown to give the impression of one standing person.
