Do you want to apply to the stomach ?
or do massage ?
Here are some information that I learn from the aromatherapy book:
Olive Oil (many people in western country like to use it during pregnancy too)
- contains lots of protein and vitamin E
- can be used on children skin as well
- cheaper
- a bit harder to do massage because texture is a bit thicker
- not so comfortable during summer use
Almond Oil
- lots of proteins, vitamin A, B, D, E
- suitable for dry skin, sensitive, dehydrated skin
- very good to do massage
- highly recommended before, during and after pregnancy use to prevent and repair stretch marks
Jojoba Oil
- vitamins, minerals, protein
- Since it has lots of Vitamin D and protein, very good to moisturize the skin and soften the skin
- also good to prevent wrinkles
- suitable for oily skin (if for face), aging skin
St.Jonn Wort's Oil
- very good for skin with scars, acne marks, after wounds, burn, cuts, sunburn because it can stimulate cell renewal
- if give birth by operation, can use it to lighten the scar
Hazelnut Oil
- also highly highly recommended before, during and after pregnancy to prevent and repair stretch marks
- increase skin elasticity, firmness
- if for face, very good to prevent fine lines and wrinkles
....there are some more natural oil with higher cosmetic properties, such as Rose Hip Oil, Wheatgerm Oil....but those are more expensive.
Since these have more advantages on skin and higher price, people seldom use these for their body, usually for face only.
So, if you want to apply to your body and target on pregnancy problems, better to choose almond oil or hazelnut oil.
