A well known organization is recruiting the following 2 posts for its database centre.

1. Unix engineer
5 days work hk$2500 /month

Job Descriptions

·  Perform system administration for 3000+ Linux servers

·  Linux system installations and configurations

·  Collect user requirements and deploy appropriate hardware and software

·  Alert monitoring and handling

·  Collect logs and execute queries on request

·  Perform problem diagnosis

·  Execute change ticket according to the technical requests

·  Work closely with application team

Required Skills

·  Solid technical know-how related to current versions of RedHat

·  Familiar with OS kernel, Memory manager, Linux clustering, File system, Network Stack and Shell Script

·  Proficiency with RPM packaging and Patch management

·  Familiar with Symantec Storage Foundation High Availability product, e.g. Cluster Server, Storage Foundation

·  Linux system installations and configurations

·  Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving

·  Independent, fast learner

·  Good English written and verbal communication skills

·  Available to work overtime if necessary

·  Supporting production systems and core utility services in a large and complex enterprise environment is an advantage

·  Previous working experience in banking environment an advantage

2.Database administrator ,5 days work , hk$35000 / month

Responsibilities:

·       Daily database administration of Enterprise Systems with 24-hour on-call service of the systems

·       Facilitate database design, planning, implementation, database server installation andconfiguration

Requirements:

·       University graduate in Information Technology or related discipline

·       At least 2 years solid working experience in Oracle Database Administration

·       Experience in MySQL and MSSQL support and administration is a plus

·       Experience in Red Hat is also preferably

·       Initiative and strong willingness to work under pressure

·       Proficiency in spoken and written English,good command of Putonghua an added advantage

Contract Base : 6 months
