What would u recommend to put on web?
For same video, Avi is only 1+M, Mpeg 1 is 6M, I have heard Mpeg 4 is 1/4 size, which maybe be 1.5M, similar to Avi. So, why do I want to choose Mpeg 4?
If I take video from DC, it's avi.
However, if I take from DV, it's Mpeg 1, any free sw for chaning Mpeg 1 to Avi or wmv?
Some good video formats to put on web are WMV, ASX, RAM, MOV and maybe MPG (MPEG-1). You might ask why not MPEG-4 or AVI? The answer is simple. AVI is just too big in file size to be put on web. And MPEG-4 requires special software or codec (which are usually not free) to play it.
On the other hand, WMV, ASX, RAM, MOV and MPG can be easily played by freeware like Media Player, Real Player, Quicktime etc. So if you put those video formats on web, most people have no problem viewing them.
