for me, I will take her to the supermarket on weekend and do the shopping. This is very good training to kids for buying the right kind of food, selecting bargain items and doing simple calculations. When at home, can also ask the kids to take stock list and update the list of things. A good training for organizing things. This also avoid maid "工人打斧頭' but she is there to help carrying the stuff.
During weekdays, I will either do the shopping at the wet market after i finished work or my part time local maid doing it. I am not saying part time maid will not but so far she seems reasonable.
