Tsz Chuen also didn't like and rejected to eat congee. Touch wood, we started to give him congee again last week, now he eats very well, one bowl each meal and two meals a day.
In fact, my mum trained him for me. The first day my mum used "魚倉"魚 + 蕃茄. Before I used to steam the fish and then pick up bones and put it back to the congee. But my mum said this is no good and not tasty, as the juice was lost. Pls. find below method she teach me for your ref.
1) Boil water and rice until 滾
2) Then put your raw fish directly into the congee until it is just cooked (剛剛熟). Then take up the fish and pick up the bones, 待用. (Don't cook too long, otherwise the fish will become loose and the bones will go into the congee)
3) Then put whole piece of 1/2 tomato into the congee until it become 杰粥. (My mum didn't mashed the tomato, as she said the juice will lost when you marsh, so just put it into the congee and it will become 蕃茄蓉)
4) When the congee almost ready, you could put the fish meat back to the congee and cook few more minutes and then 焗一陣就可以食)
